Get Out is a film in which you literally need to get out, as in get away, before the sound of a teaspoon in a cup of tea takes your life. The movie is an exploration of race and paranoia and a social thriller with a plot twist. It is a Guess Who's Coming to Dinner's worst nightmare.
The film is quickly on it's way to becoming a cult classic with it's combination of realism, horror, absurdity and humor. Eerie enough to be unsettling, Get Out brilliantly juxtaposes the dark side of life with the banality of the everyday. These juxtapositions can be one way of explaining the wide spread appeal and popularity of the film, in addition to being a comment on just how horrifying it is to be "normal."
